I'd like to give big ups to Senator Byron Dorgan. He just laid down some serious smack on approving a $108 BILLION dollar supplemental appropriation to the war in Iraq. He busted out some facts on how money is being wasted in Iraq. Three hundred million was given to a 22-year-old to buy ammunition for our soldiers in Iraq. He used that money, our money, to buy 45 year old ammo that came from China. Yeah. That didn't cut it for Sen. Dorgan and it doesn't cut it for me and it shouldn't cut it for you or any of us.
Jim Nussle is a weasel who dodges honest questions and doesn't seem to understand that just saying there is accountability isn't the same thing as actually having accountability.
Apparently some of that $108 billion is going to things other than the war in Iraq, but still... This is ridiculous. But it's nice to see that some people in Congress are starting to openly acknowledge that fact. Most of them are Democrats so big ups to the people we elected in 2006.
Anyways, watch CSPAN to see what's really happening in our government. The media is only there to get the juicy soundbytes. Not the whole story. Get the whole story. Educate yourselves.

No kidding about the media. Last week, special reports on dogs more commonly being named with names usually reserved only for people, and this week a grocery store special. Sensational.
